Up to 500,000 vehicles are declared a write-off each year. When this happens, quite naturally we would all like to be returned to the same financial position that we were when we initially purchased the vehicle.
Quite simply, Spectrum GAP Plus will pay the difference (Up to £15,000) between today's retail Market Value of your customer's Car, Light Commercial Vehicle (below 3500KG) or Motorbike (500cc or over) and whatever value the Motor Insurer places on the vehicle should it be declared a write-off.
Cover is available on above vehicles up to 5 years old and with up to 80,000 miles "on the clock" at the date of policy purchase.
Quite often garages will attempt to sell you GAP insurance at massively inflated prices. Please refer to the table below for our prices which are generally much lower that what the garage will offer.
| 3 Year Policy | 2 year Policy | |
| Car/Light Commercial Vehicle | £199.00 | £166.57 |
| Motorcycle | £215.00 | £175.00 |

The "KC Keep Motoring" policy offers an extension to your policies courtesy car cover. It is underwritten by "DAS", and the cars themselves are provided by "Enterprise", who are based nationwide.
Under a standard "Comprehensive" Private Car policy you will be granted a courtesy vehicle for the duration of the repairs if you go to your insurance company's approved repairers (Please note this will not necessarily apply to Commercial Vehicle policies). You are not entitled to a courtesy vehicle if you car is stolen or written off. This is where the Keep Motoring policy saves the day. For a one off payment of £21.20, they guarantee you a courtesy car for up to 10 days in the event of a total loss incident or if the vehicle is stolen. (This 10 day hire can be extended at an extra cost – See the "Additional Benefits" on page 3).
Please note that this policy can only be added at inception or renewal, not mid-term.

Legal Expenses
The policy that we offer is provided by "Uninsured Loss Recovery Services" who are based in Stoke.
ULR stands for Uninsured Loss Recovery. Even with a fully comprehensive policy, if you have an accident you will suffer financial losses that are not covered by your policy.
If the accident is concluded to be your fault, then these "uninsured losses" are not recoverable. If, however, the accident is deemed to be “non-fault” by the claim handler, then we can claim these uninsured losses back from the 3rd party, as long as we have their insurance details and providing that they are insured.
A brief list of the most common "uninsured losses" are listed on the following page, however this is not an exhaustive list:
The cost of this policy is a one-off £18 payment which must be paid at inception or renewal.
Provided by MSL, the "KeyStone" policy is a specially designed Legal Expenses Insurance Policy tailored to assist you and members of your household in the defence of their legal rights.
In life, whatever we do and buy, we are governed by a minefield of legislation. Some laws control, some protect. Yet, more often than not people are unaware of the existence of these laws.
With the frequency of litigation increasing, so does the threat of legal action. There is no doubt that the cost of defending such actions, or pursuing our own legal rights, can be costly.
Resolving legal disputes can be daunting and complex, but with the protection of a Keystone policy, it is possible to "phone a friend". Keystone Legal Expenses Insurance is designed to help with costs and also provide invaluable guidance throughout.
KeyStone provides:
KeyStone cover:
Personal Accident: Provides legal costs and expenses for a personal accident (except motor accidents which are covered by our KeyStart policy), offering immediate access to our advice lines. If there are good grounds for making a compensation claim we also provide legal representation. The cover includes claims for personal injury, loss of income, damage to personal effects; and extends to fatal accidents, including representation at a Coroner's inquest.
Consumer Cover: Provides legal costs and expenses when pursuing a liability claim arising from the policyholder's contract to purchase personal goods or services. Also provides cover in the event that the policyholder sells goods (in a personal capacity) and a liability claim is made against them.
Domestic Cover: Provides legal costs and expenses when pursuing a liability claim following damage to the policyholder's home resulting from faulty contractual work, or disputes arising from the sale and purchase of the policyholder's home.
We may also be able to help in defending infringements of the policyholder's legal rights originating from the ownership of their home, including boundary disputes.
Note: If the policyholder is a tenant they still have rights in their home and cover is available for claims against a landlord for failing to maintain the home.
Employment Cover: Provides legal costs and expenses in pursuing the policyholder's rights under their contract of employment. A typical claim could arise from an unfair dismissal resulting in the policyholder's livelihood and future family finances being severely affected.
Professional Negligence: Provides legal costs and expenses when pursuing a claim against lawyers, accountants and surveyors who have acted on the policyholder's behalf and they have suffered a loss as a result of their poor advice or negligence. (Please note this cover applies only to the professions mentioned).
Inland Revenue Investigation: Provides legal costs and expenses in representing the policyholder's legal rights arising from an in-depth investigation relating to their paid employment by the Inland Revenue.
Attendance Expenses: Provides loss of salary in respect of any absence from work when attending a court, tribunal or arbitration hearing as a witness or a defendant in relation to a claim under the policyholder's Keystone policy.
Note: The value of any claim must exceed £250 and reasonable prospects of successfully pursuing a claim must
exist. All the above is subject to terms, conditions and exclusions of the policy.
KEYLet is a specially designed Legal Expenses Policy for Landlords.
If landlords become involved in a property dispute or debt recovery, the cost of taking legal action will
often result in lost profit. In many cases bringing or defending civil action to protect their interests
can be extremely costly and time consuming.
KEYLet enables the policyholder to defend their legal rights when they need to, giving them financial
peace of mind and invaluable guidance throughout.
Debt Recovery: Provides legal costs and expenses in the pursuit of an undisputed debt for rent unpaid by the policyholder’s tenant.
Attendance Expenses: Provides up to £1000 for any one claim in respect of actual loss of wages when attending court or a tribunal / arbitration hearing as a witness, or a defendant, at the policyholder's request.
Note: The disputed amount must be more than £400 and reasonable prospects of successfully pursuing a claim must exist. All the above is subject to terms, conditions and exclusions of the policy.
